Estate Gardens and the National Museum of Gardening

The Gardens:

Set in the heart of the historic Trevarno Estate, which can be traced back to 1246, these beautiful Victorian and Georgian gardens are a plantsmans paradise featuring one of Cornwall’s most extensive collections of trees, shrubs and exotic plants. Notable features include Bluebell Valley, Sunken Italian Garden, Bog Garden, Serpentine Yew Tunnel, Lake and Cascade, Victorian Boathouse, and the mysterious Rockery and Grotto. Certain areas are now the subject of major restoration projects, in particular the upper and lower Walled Gardens.

The National Museum of Gardening:

A remarkable celebration of Britain's glorious gardening heritage which is the culmination of seven years planning and research. The museum houses Britain's largest and most comprehensive collection of gardening tools, implements, requisites, memorabilia and ephemera creatively displayed in 10 themed areas to illustrate how gardens and gardening influence most peoples lives and how much Britain has contributed to commercial and recreational gardening throughout the world.

The Fountain Garden Conservatory:

provides a splendid area to enjoy the sub tropical plants and homemade refreshments whatever the weather.

Craft Workshops:

compliment the gardens and grounds and enable visitors to learn more about the unique range of Trevarno crafts including the Hand Made Soap Workshop, Organic Herbal Workshop and Bee Centre.

Vintage Toy Exhibition:

The delightful Colin Gregory Toy Collection, a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Small additional charge.
