The Great Art Auction in support of the Cornwall Community Foundation
The Great Art Auction is a unique exhibition and auction, combining community, charity, and creativity.
In collaboration with The Great Gardens of Cornwall and Lemon Street Market, nine of the great gardens have nominated a local artist to create a bespoke artwork in their chosen medium that reflects what that garden means to them.
On the 20th of June, the pieces will be auctioned, with proceeds going to the continued work of the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Each garden is a space where visitors can connect with nature, nurture their mental health, and support their well-being, and we see this reflected in the vision of the Cornwall Community Foundation.
Since 2003, the Cornwall Community Foundation has been helping communities by collecting funds from businesses and individuals and donating them, by way of small grants, to grassroots frontline, volunteer-led groups. These not-for-profit organisations are working to make an impact in their local area, helping to overcome challenges of disadvantage, exclusion, and poverty for all ages.
As one of 47 community foundations across the UK, last year the Cornwall Community Foundation distributed a total of 663 grants throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, amounting to £2.3 million of funding back into the local area.
Recent beneficiaries of their grants include Gorran School, which received £1,106 to purchase iPads for the four Ukrainian refugee children at the school in order to break down language barriers and allow them to communicate with family back in Ukraine. Another recipient includes the Woodford Community Garden. After it was reported that 43% of adults in Cornwall had felt lonely, a grant of £3,500 facilitated the construction of a community garden, providing a space for social interaction and physical activity.

We’re so proud to be supporting the incredible work of the Cornwall Community Foundation and are thrilled to invite the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to join us for The Great Art Auction.
The Great Art Auction exhibition will take place from the 13th to the 20th of June, with the works being auctioned from 7:30 pm on Tuesday, the 20th of June.
